Online Interview with
Boys Night Out's guitarist Jeff Davis
SG:
For the few that have yet to purchase your new album what
can they expect to hear from "Trainwreak?" (Aside from the
addition of a female voice)
BNO: Prog punk stoner theatre rock.
SG: Prior to its release the album was hailed as one of the
most anticipated albums of 2005 (By AP and Revolver
magazine) how do you feel about that? Is it flattering?
Frightening?
BNO: it's flattering.
SG: You guys have seen
your share of ups and downs was there a time when you wanted
to disband completely? What kept you going?
BNO: Ya, last year was rough, and we were all bummed…but we
really wanted to get this record done, and we were all
excited as hell for it, so we toughed it out.
SG: Do you guys think you've grown musically or personally
since the last album?
BNO:
yes, very much so.
SG: Were you influenced by
any particular music that's out there today when writing for
the new record? (If so which albums did you listen to?)
BNO: hmm...new music... Ryan Adams, Wintersleep, Say
Anything, Minus The Bear…that’s about all the new music I
like.
SG: What have you guys been doing during your down time
while on Warped Tour?
BNO: Drinking
heavily.
SG: What can the audience expect when they see BNO perform
live? Is the intensity level pretty high when performing
live?
BNO: it depends how hung over we are, I suppose. But we
usually have a good time.

SG: Some have described Warped Tour as
being similar to band camp, cause they're bands and its
outdoors and what not but mainly because of the friendships
made along the way, have you guys become good friends with
other band members while on this tour? (Feel free to name
drop)
BNO: nah. Warped Tour is more like prison, not band camp. We
made some friends, but we knew most of the bands on the bill
already from touring over the past few years.
